As wildfires continue to impact communities across northern Ontario, GlobalMedic is working alongside partners to help strengthen local emergency response efforts.

Thanks to the generous support of Muslim Welfare Canada, 2 fire trailers with nearly a 3,000L tank each and 8 fire skids equipped with a 1,000L water tank each have been trucked from Edmonton to Thunder Bay, where they’re being handed over to volunteer fire departments across the northwestern region.

GlobalMedic remains committed to standing alongside the volunteer and career firefighters protecting communities across northern Ontario. Together with our partners, we're helping ensure that firefighters have the equipment they need to respond safely and effectively.

Support from Muslim Welfare Canada is helping strengthen frontline wildfire response across Northwestern Ontario.

Through their generous contribution, GlobalMedic will hand over seven additional fire skid units and two large fire skid trailer units to help better equip fire departments responding to wildfires across the region.

The fire skids will be an additional asset, allowing more crews to deploy quickly and get closer to active fires. The larger trailer units carry approximately three times more water and can also resupply fire skids in the field, helping firefighters maintain their response for longer.

A huge thank you to Muslim Welfare Canada for helping GlobalMedic get more firefighting equipment into the hands of frontline crews working to protect communities across Northwestern Ontario.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Muslim Welfare Canada, two fire trailers and seven fire skids made the journey from Edmonton, AB, and were distributed to volunteer fire departments across Northern Ontario.

Watching these units roll off the truck is more than just another delivery—it's a reminder that when Canadians come together, we can help those risking everything to keep others safe.

To everyone at Muslim Welfare Canada, thank you for standing with firefighters and making sure they have the equipment they need to respond when every second counts. Your support will make a difference now and for the wildfire seasons to come.

Mayor Olivia Chow joined us at Muslim Welfare Canada’s Fill a Backpack event, and her words hit different because when a city’s mayor shows up for grassroots community work, it’s proof that small acts of care ripple outward.

Every backpack we filled isn’t just school supplies, it’s a message to a kid: someone’s got your back this year.
