Global Health Conference The University of Saskatchewan's Annual Global Health Conference We welcome proposals on any of these and other related issues.

Our 6th Annual Global Health Conference, The G Word: Gender and Global Health, is coming September 23rd 2017. The Global Health Conference is dedicated to raising awareness about pressing global health issues. This will be a forum to discuss and analyze practices and policies that move us towards gender and health equity. This half-day conference is an opportunity for researchers, students, and co

mmunity members involved in global health to network and discuss exciting research, programs, and projects in the field. We hope to inspire participants to work collaboratively toward promoting equity in gender both locally and globally. The conference will be held on the University of Saskatchewan Campus in the Health Sciences E Wing. This year’s topic will be focused around gender in global health initiatives, research, and projects. GHC 2017 is a place to share your research and practice in the field of Global health with your community and colleagues from different disciplines. The 2017 Global Health Conference planning committee invites proposals for individual presentations. We also support innovative and creative presentation formats that address conference themes. The conference will also host a poster expo to which students are encouraged to apply. Abstracts are welcomed from all disciplines and all interests in Global Health, including research, practice, policy and related areas. We also encourage submissions from individuals and community agencies working outside the university. Please limit your submission to a maximum of 250 words. When submitting your abstract, please indicate your preferred method of presentation.

If proposing an artistic, non-conventional or alternative format, please describe space, time and/or technology needs. The deadline for submitting your application is September 8th, 2017. To submit an abstract for consideration, please email a brief cover letter as well as a 250-word abstract to Nicole Pendleton.
