🦅 Community Care in Action! 🦅

​We are incredibly grateful to share that Nature’s Food Bank just made a massive delivery to our neighbors at the Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church on Ave F right here in Saskatoon!

​Thanks to an amazing effort, a whopping 237 pounds of snow goose was delivered and is ready to help feed and support families in our community. It’s local, nutritious, and a beautiful example of what happens when we work together to take care of one another.

​A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this delivery happen, and to the team at Holy Trinity for always keeping their doors and hearts open. 🤝❤️

Today we are thankful for the amazing work and knowledge that the Dakota Dunes Community Development Corporation bestows onto the Treaty 6 Community!

We are honored to have participated in the Supporting Community Success Through Innovative Partnerships session, and have gained a greater understanding of the history and DDCDCs role as a pillar in the Saskatoon community!

We look forward to building a stronger and meaningful partnership to aid in our missions for our communities!

300 POUNDS OF TRADITION & CARE! 🪶🥖

Community is about showing up for one another, especially when the snow is on the ground. Nature's Food Bank Inc. was honored to deliver 300 lbs of goose meat to our incredible partners at the Saskatoon Indian and Métis Friendship Centre (SIMFC).

​This isn’t just a food drop-off, it’s about providing traditional, nourishing food to those who need it most right here in Saskatoon! From the back of the truck to the SIMFC freezers, every box represents a meal and a message - You are not forgotten...

ℹ️ Did you know, that 40% of food requests in Saskatoon are children?

This highlights that food insecurity isn’t just about adults, it disproportionately affects families and kids!

⚠️ 🦆 Our core idea is unique! By turning hunting leftovers into food Instead of relying on grocery donations and canned food. We collect surplus wild game (mainly duck and goose) from Saskatchewan outfitters, we then redistribute it to organizations feeding families and all people in need!

We exists because many non-resident hunters don’t take the meat home, leaving large amounts of usable protein behind. We then hand process the protein into jerky rendering high quality shelf life safe protein packed jerky 🥓 for families to enjoy!

Natures Food Bank Inc has process and donated over 35,000 pound of protein and we continue our journey of uplifting throughout the Saskatchewan community!

It was lovely to welcome Gary Wurst and Patty Kalytuk from Nature's Food Bank Inc to the legislature this week.

Gary and Patty are constituents, and they founded a network of Saskatchewan Outfitters willing to donate surplus protein left behind by foreign hunters, and channel this supply to those in need.

Their motto is "Saskatchewan Hunters Feeding Neighbours."

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by to support Nature’s Food Bank at Bass Pro Shop this weekend. Your generosity and enthusiasm fuel our mission to make the hunting season meaningful for more than just hunters.

Thanks to your support, we’re heading into the upcoming season ready to make an even greater impact. Last year, we donated over 14,000 lbs of goose meat to families & individuals in need — and with your help, we’re aiming even higher this year.
