As FND Awareness Month comes to a close, this isn’t where the conversation ends.

For people living with Functional Neurological Disorder, this is everyday life.

The need for understanding, support, and real-world resources doesn’t disappear when April does.

Awareness matters.
But what comes after matters more.

It’s about what people experience when they ask for help.
It’s about whether support actually meets them where they are.

That’s the work we’re continuing at Healing Horizons for FND.

Living with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) can make it difficult to explain symptoms, especially when they change or don’t follow predictable patterns.

To support this, Healing Horizons for FND has introduced an interactive Symptom Report Tool.

It’s designed to help organize symptoms, recognize patterns over time, and make it easier to communicate experiences, if and when someone chooses to share.

There is no pressure to complete every section. The tool can be used at your own pace and revisited as needed.

You can access it from the floating button on the bottom right of the website.

Today is FND Awareness Day.

Awareness should mean more than simply recognizing that Functional Neurological Disorder exists.

It should mean listening sooner.
Taking symptoms seriously.
Reducing stigma.
Making space for people to be met with respect instead of confusion.

Too many people living with FND are still left explaining themselves in rooms where they should already be supported.

That needs to change.

At , awareness is not the end goal.
Better understanding is.
More accessible support is.
And so is building something people can actually use when they are trying to navigate real life with FND.

Awareness doesn’t always look like something big.

Sometimes, it’s quieter than that.

It’s noticing what your body needs.
It’s choosing to pause.
It’s giving yourself permission to move at a pace that feels safe.

For many people living with Functional Neurological Disorder, going slow isn’t a choice.
It’s part of how the body communicates.

And that deserves understanding, not pressure.

This FND Awareness Month, we’re not just raising awareness.
We’re creating space for people to be met where they are.

Drop a 💙 if you relate to this.

April is FND Awareness Month.

But for many people living with Functional Neurological Disorder, awareness isn’t something that happens once a year.

It’s something they carry every day.

In their bodies.
In their relationships.
In the effort it takes to explain something that isn’t easily seen or understood.

FND is real. It is complex. And for many, it is deeply isolating.

At Healing Horizons for FND, this month isn’t about being louder.

It’s about being clearer.
More accessible.
More honest about what support actually needs to look like.

Because awareness, on its own, isn’t enough.

People need tools.
They need understanding.
They need spaces that don’t overwhelm them.

That’s what we’re building.

If you’re living with FND, supporting someone who is, or just learning for the first time, you’re welcome here.
