As we draw closer and closer to the holidays, it seemed fitting to hold the last event for the Last Spoon of this year in a festive fashion!!

One of Sarnia's main attractions during the Christmas season is the "Celebration of Lights", which is held every year and takes over much of Centennial Park. We will start our event at the park and walk through the many beautiful lights and displays they have mocked up.

Wether it's chilly, snowy or a little damp, we will relocate after finishing our time with the Celebration of lights, to Coffee Culture on Lochiel, where we can grab a warm beverage and chat amongst one another.

Join us for a Friday Night Board Game social, where there will be many varied games or titles to choose from (*or multiple/concurrent ones if there is a good number of people), camaraderie and pleasant conversations aplenty and just having chill/fun vibes to kick off the weekend!

Our event will take place at Sarnia Public Library and will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.

Good evening;

Our Introduction to 3-D Printing will be happening this Monday from 6:00-7:00 PM at Sarnia Public Library.

The session will specifically cover two items that can be printed (Fidget Rings & Fidget Slugs) and be a general introduction to the vast world of 3-D Printing.

As it takes a long time for even small objects to be printed, the library will provide us with samples that will demonstrate the end result, but then explain how you can find free resources on websites like Thingiverse, and the specifc program they use in their Maker-Space.

The event will be beneficial for beginners (*I being one of them!) but will hopefully also be enjoyable for intermediate or experienced folks when it comes to the world of 3-D printing.

Our Afternoon Pumpkin event was in my opinion a huge success!

It was a beautiful & sunny saturday in Canatara and I think everyone who came carved some Grade-A Excellent Pumpkins!! 🎃🎃🎃

Happy Thanksgiving weekend!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their time off, spending time with loved ones, and relaxing in whatever way suits them!

I just wanted to announce that next Saturday, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, we will be hosting a Pumpkin carving event in Canatara Park.

The Event is BYOP or "Bring your own Pumpkin". Specifically, if one wants to carve a larger pumpkin with a more intricate design, etc. A *Limited* quantity of smaller pumpkins for those who do not bring one with them will be provided, as well as carving tools, gloves, and some warm refreshments, as we may be in for a windy/chilly day ahead of us.

I hope we can see some familiar and new faces at the event!!

Hello All;

For our first post, I am posting about our first event for the month of September, with our "Special Interest Show & Tell" happening this Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
This is a great opportunity for individuals to express/share one or more hobbies/fields of interest in a way that best suits them and in an environment that's accepting and full of similar folks with their own cool hobbies!

We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where individuals can connect, share experiences, and support each other. Previous events like "Online Game Night: Fall Guys Tournament & Fun times!" and "Mindfulness session and casual hang-out in Germain Park" have been a hit, and we aim to continue providing opportunities for social engagement and community building. Come join us for a laid-back gathering filled with understanding, acceptance, and good vibes.

I would also like to thank Beanzz for allowing us to use their space for this event. While there is no cost associated with this event, I am sure the cafe would appreciate support through the purchase of a small treat/baked good, sandwich, coffee, etc. I will make sure to leave the Menu below!!
