As part of our 50 Years, 50 Legacies community recognition series, we are proud to recognize the Sarnia Legionnaires Hockey Club

What could hockey and employment services possibly have in common? In Canada β€” maybe more than you think.

For several years, The WorkPlace Group has had the privilege of partnering with the Legionnaires through their Program of Excellence β€” an initiative focused on helping players prepare for life beyond the rink. Through personal assessments, career coaching, education planning, and job search support, players are encouraged to explore their strengths and plan for long-term success, whether in the skilled trades, post-secondary education, or the workforce.

This partnership reflects our shared commitment to supporting youth as they navigate changing goals, opportunities, and life transitions. Together, we are helping young people build confidence, explore meaningful career pathways, and prepare for the future.

Beyond this program, the Legionnaires have also shown incredible generosity toward our clients by regularly providing game tickets for individuals and families in our community. For someone facing difficult circumstances, a night at the rink can offer connection, encouragement, and a reminder that they are part of a caring community.

Thank you to the Sarnia Legionnaires for your partnership, community spirit, and continued support over the years.
