📣 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 📣

Last Thursday, the I-Click participants worked hard on deciding a theme together. They spoke a lot about youth experiences within their community and the broader world, focusing on the many issues youth their age face.

Based on the topics raised during the discussion, the youth voted on a theme.

We are so excited to share the theme they decided on for this year: ‘𝑶𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒅 & 𝑼𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒅’

Come by our exhibit on August 15th to see the photos these wonderful youth are putting on display! 📸

Day 3 & 4 the I-Click team:

📸 learned about studio lighting
📸 had their portraits taken by Naomi.Studio.NB
📸 determined our theme for this year’s exhibit!

Over the next few days, the youth are working hard to shoot photos within the theme - can't wait to see what they come up with! ✨

📣 Stayed tuned for our theme announcement!

As July gets closer, the I-Click staff are working hard preparing for this year’s program!
We are so lucky to have an amazing facilitation team who support every part of the program, and each year we get together for a training and go through similar activities to the youth in the program. This helps us connect as a team, learn the basics of the camera, and builds a deeper understanding of the programs process to the staff team! We can’t wait to use the skills we learned alongside you all in the program this year 📸

Applications are closing this weekend!

✨Applications are now open!✨

We are excited to announce I-Click 2026 will be returning this summer July 20th - July 30th, weekdays from 1:00pm until 4:30pm.

This program invites youth to amplify their voices through photography, and to explore what they feel is important for our community to understand about who they are, what they've experienced, and the strengths and challenges faced as youth in our community.

In I-Click, you will learn from each other, gain new skills, experiment with professional cameras, and showcase your favourite photographs in an art exhibit at the Thirdshift Festival! Together, the group will decide on a theme for the year. Participants will take photos within the theme while working with a mentor who helps them explore the theme and its connection to their lived experience. This is a no-cost program, and no experience is required to join as you will learn camera basics during program days.

Applications are open until May 30th!
