We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share that members of Applegarth Co-op in Hamilton were affected by a fire last night, which destroyed three units. Thankfully, no one was injured, but 14 members have been displaced and have lost their homes and belongings. Damages are estimated to be between $1 million and $1.5 million.

During this incredibly difficult time, the Golden Horseshoe Co-operative Housing Federation, together with Applegarth, is raising funds to help cover recovery costs and provide direct support to the affected members as they begin to rebuild their lives.

Any contribution, no matter the amount, would make a meaningful difference. Your generosity will help provide urgent support and relief to those impacted by this tragedy.
