HOPE Niagara H.O.P.E. is a place where parents can join in offering resources and encouragement to ensure the continued success of their children living with ADHD.

What is ADHD? ADHD is a very common childhood disorder that is characterized by developmentally inappropriate levels of inattention and impulsivity. ADHD:
- is a way of being
- is a learning style
- is managed, not fixed
- extends into adulthood
- impairs functioning at school or work

It creates difficulties in peer relationships that lead to delinquency, dropping out of school and substance abus

e. Treatment and understanding can prevent these outcomes and develop feelings of acceptance and belonging.
