At the beginning of May, the St. Albert Sturgeon Community Foundation distributed grants to several charitable organizations serving communities throughout the region.

Among the recipients was the Morinville Community Library. The SASCF was proud to present them with $4,620 in support of initiatives that help sustain the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program, which provides free books to children in the community.

This grant was made possible through the generosity of our donors, whose commitment to building a stronger, more connected community continues to leave a lasting impact. We are grateful to the Morinville Community Library for using this donation to help provide meaningful opportunities for children and families through programs like this. 🙌📚

Fort Saskatchewan Families First Society being among one of these organizations. The SASCF was proud to present them with $15,000 in support of universal and higher quality programming. This included drop-in programming for parents with children aged 0-6, additional support staff, more referrals, and increased opportunities for connection within Sturgeon County.

This grant was made possible through the generosity of donors, who are dedicated to building a more connected and stronger community. We are grateful for the Family First Society’s care and dedication to fostering a healthy environment in their community. 🏡

This year, the St. Albert Sturgeon Community Foundation was proud to support the Arts and Heritage Foundation of St. Albert in enhancing community Learning spaces.

With the support of our generous donors, this investment helped upgrade the Art Nook at the Art Gallery of St. Albert and the Discovery Room at the Musée Héritage Museum with durable, accessible, and safe furnishings. These improvements enhance comfort, safety, and long-term use for the many families, students, and seniors who engage with these spaces each year. 🙌

Thanks to a generous gift from the St. Albert Sturgeon Community Foundation, residents at Youville Home will benefit from a new ice machine supporting hydration, symptom management and everyday comfort for residents in care.

During Hospice Palliative Care Week, we’re reminded that sometimes the smallest comforts can make the most meaningful difference.
