It’s an exciting week to play the Sackville Rotary Goldmine draw! The jackpot is really getting high and some people wonder about how to play.
If you don’t have a number, fill out the gold registration form located at each blue box. Keep the half that you didnt fill out sobthat you have a copy of your number. Put your toonie and the completed form in the blue box. You are now entered in that week’s draw. After a week, you can prepay online with a credit card. Details at sackvillrotarygoldmine.ca
Blue boxes and registration cards are located at Rose’s Independent, Jean Coutu , Foodland, Guardian Drug, Gitpu, Esso gas bar, Ultramar Sackville and Hirtles Variety in Middle Sackville.

Did you know…Each week, after the counting of toonies is complete, the winning token is drawn from a drum which contains one numbered token for each number registered. Because there is only one token for each number, there is no advantage to playing the same number more than once each week.

An important message for our Goldmine players:

When Rotary’s Gold Mine lottery license was renewed in December 2025, we were informed that the regulations had changed. We must now retire any number that has not been played for a period of one year. This means that if you don’t play (pre-pay or put a toonie in a blue box) at least once during a twelve-month period, we must take your tag out of the drum, and you will no longer be eligible to win, even if you do subsequently play.

If you find yourself in this situation and you would like to be able to play again, then you will need to contact us at [email protected] to “un-retire” your number.

At the opening ceremonies for the Tantramar Fall Fair, Rotarians brought chili and Rotaractors filled bowls for members of the public - who were lucky enough to get a bowl! We started with 10 crock pots of chili at 5:30 and were all done by 6:30. Donations tallied just over $600 (!) and go to community projects. Special thanks to our chili cooks (Edna, Dianne, Kelli, BillC, Dave, Lesley, Helen, Dave, Mariah, and Sue) and the Rotaractors who made it happen!

A busy weekend...on Saturday, Rotary took care of the info booth at the Fall Fair Family Day on Dufferin Street and introduced the bands at the Music Tent downtown.

A busy weekend of community service above self...
