SARI Therapeutic Riding Changing lives, stride by stride. SARI Therapeutic Riding is a registered not-for-profit organization near London, Ontario.

Our mission is to provide adaptive riding to people with disabilities. SARI was founded in 1978 by Syd and Jeanne Greenberg in memory of their daughter, Sarah (Sari), who had a deep connection with horses.

It's time for a MONDAY HORSE FACT!

We all know that horses have huge hearts, and apparently in more ways than one! The average horse’s heart weighs around 8.5-10 lbs. For comparison, a human heart weighs just 7-15 OUNCES.

In fact, the legendary 1973 Triple Crown champion Secretariat’s heart was estimated to be a whopping 22 pounds!

July 31st: SARI at LONDON MAJORS
We've partnered with the LONDON MAJORS for a takeover game! SARI will be throwing the first pitch at their game against the Kitchener Panthers! Generously sponsored by Libro Credit Union - thank you for making this possible!

August 29th: 1ST ANNUAL VW LEGENDS CAR SHOW
SARI has been chosen as one of three local charities supported by this amazing show! If you're a car enthusiast, this one's for you! More details on how to get involved to follow...
..and we've got lots more going on behind the scenes! We'll keep you updated as more info is available, but this summer's already shaping up to be a busy one. We hope to see you at some of these amazing events!

SARI would like to announce that Luna is retiring from program. She has served us faithfully for nearly 11 years, and she is now going off to retire with close friends of SARI.

She will be leaving us in the next couple of weeks, and we kindly ask that you allow our participants, staff, and volunteers time to say their goodbyes.

We wish her all the best in her new home!

The grand total donated was a fantastic $10,600. This covered the purchase, trailering, and equipment for Toni to join program. We couldn't be more grateful.

It's National Accessibility Week, and also time for today's MONDAY HORSE FACT.

SARI horses are trained to be accessible support animals! Our instructors and exercise riders work with them, making sure they're up for the life-changing task of supporting our participants.

All our working horses have special skills that help support our participants with their physical activity, communication, social skills, and independence. They even adapt to participants' individual needs and adjust as needed.

That, and they're VERY cute!

Thank you to D&J Paton Bros Ltd. for donating soil for our flowerbeds. Our volunteers and staff (including our Executive Director, Lisa) were hard at work this morning freshening up our petunias!

Also a huge thank you to our volunteers Terri S, Barb T, Andrea J, and Dario B for donating their time to prep the beds for the new soil! SARI's looking ready for summer thanks to your hard work!

Our 39th Annual Golf Tournament is taking place on Thursday June 18th, at Riverbend GC!

This is your chance to tee off at one of London's most exclusive golf courses, followed by a delicious three-course meal cooked by Riverbend's very own Executive Chef! Putting competitions, hole-in-one prizes, and a silent auction and 50/50 raffle...this is one event you don't want to miss!

And remember, all proceeds go directly toward supporting our participants and herd, so it's all for an excellent cause.
