We (and you) have rescued almost 3,000 pounds of fruit! Cherries, plums, crabapples, damson, blackberries, apples & pears - oh my! We've been putting all this fruit into subsidized foodboxes, crafting it in our community kitchen, bringing people together to process, learn and connect, and it's finding its way into the ice cream at Good News Ice Cream, helping fund these programs!
We have a pickle though. Or should we say an apple???
Thousands of pounds of delicious apples need picking, but neither the pickers who are already signed up nor us as an organization have any more room or use for apples! Please get in touch if you'd like to pick apples - [email protected]
What's next?
1. π Grapes and π Quince are going to be ready next! Please sign up your fruit and we'll be in touch to come pick!
2. Fruit Processing is happening every Thursday 10 - 1 at One Tiny Farm in Roberts Creek - Join us to chat, chop, peel, stew, juice, make syrup, poach pears, caramelize plums & more! https://volunteersignup.org/ARHQW
