The Shady Isle Pirates is a volunteer registered non-profit society and an all-ages family friendly group based in Richmond, BC. The mission of the group is to promote and preserve nautical heritage and maritime arts and to raise money for community organizations from a hands-on interactive approach. Currently, we are actively operating our mini-brigs, Liberte and Adventure, in messabouts, and in

festivals, as well as working on costuming, historical weaponry and practising traditional music. Hundreds of man hours go into maintaining the brigs each year from her volunteer crews. All profits earned are donated to local charity groups - such as nautical heritage sites, community groups and cultural projects.
