🌟 Say Hello to Our Youth Ambassador – Nandini Prasad 🌟

From Nandini Prasad

ā€œI am an ambassador for the India Pavilion at MOSAIC because it offers a meaningful opportunity to celebrate and share the richness, diversity, and beauty of Indian culture with the broader community. Growing up, I have watched my parents dedicate their time to volunteering and staying closely connected to our traditions. Even while building their lives in Canada, they have never lost touch with their culture and roots, and their dedication has been a constant source of inspiration for me.

As someone born in Canada, I feel a strong desire to remain connected to my heritage while also expanding my understanding of it. Being an ambassador allows me not only to represent my culture with pride and give back to the community, but also to learn about and appreciate other cultures. I value the opportunity MOSAIC provides to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and to celebrate the shared spirit of multiculturalism that makes our community so special.

I have been dancing with the India Pavilion since I was four years old, which has strengthened my connection to my culture and given me a powerful way to express it through performance. Over the years, I have also trained in a variety of dance styles, including tap, jazz, ballet, acro, hip hop, and baton. I am currently a Grade 11 student at Luther College High School, where I am actively involved in both the flag football team and the pom team. Through these activities, I continue to build teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills that I bring with me into my role as an ambassador.

I invite you to visit the India Pavilion at MOSAIC to experience the colours, music, food, and traditions, and celebrate the richness of Indian culture. We look forward to welcoming you with a smile.ā€

🌟 Meet Our Youth Ambassador – Surasha Ranjith! 🌟

From Surasha Ranjith:

ā€œI’m so excited to be a Youth Ambassador for the India Pavilion at Mosaic 2026.

I’m a Grade 11 student at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame, where I play volleyball and live in the dorms. When I’m back in Regina, you’ll usually find me dancing, playing the piano, or baking up something sweet!

I wanted to be an ambassador because I share a deep connection to my South Indian heritage—through dance, food, and my experiences in India—and I’m passionate about sharing that culture with others.

What I love most about Mosaic is the opportunity to learn about the many cultures that make Regina so special, while proudly sharing a piece of my own. I can’t wait to be part of this incredible celebration at Mosaic 2026!ā€

India Canada Association Welcomes Debasree Gupta as Adult Ambassador

From Debasree Gupta, Adult Ambassador – India Pavilion, Mosaic

"As an ambassador for Mosaic representing the Indian Pavilion, I am committed to fostering cultural understanding and meaningful exchange. I am deeply passionate about promoting diversity and showcasing India’s rich and vibrant heritage to the wider community.

Music is a universal language, and I am excited to share India’s cultural traditions with Mosaic’s global audience. Mosaic celebrates our differences while bringing people together, and that is a truly powerful message. As a musician, I am thrilled to connect with fellow artists and attendees from diverse backgrounds, using music as a bridge between cultures.

Sharing culture inspires creativity, dialogue, and growth. Through music, we can strengthen connections, build understanding, and bring communities closer together.

I am proud to support Mosaic’s mission and values and look forward to representing the Indian Pavilion and sharing my experiences. Together, we can make Mosaic a celebration to remember."

Say Hello to Yashu Bither— India Pavilion Adult Ambassador

Being an Ambassador for the India Pavilion is an exciting opportunity for me to share the vibrant, colourful, and inspiring culture of India with the Regina community. Mosaic has long been one of my favourite annual celebrations—a festival where joy, music, food, dance, and global traditions truly come to life.

What makes Mosaic especially meaningful to me is the chance it provides to connect with people, deepen cultural understanding, and showcase the warmth and diversity of Indian heritage. Whether I am explaining the significance behind traditions, highlighting our rich artistic expressions, or warmly welcoming guests, I am genuinely enthusiastic about helping create memorable experiences for every visitor to the India Pavilion. As an ambassador, I look forward to building meaningful connections, encouraging engaging conversations, and sharing the joy and spirit that define Indian culture. This role represents energy, authenticity, and community—and I am committed to bringing all of that, and more, to the India Pavilion.

Yashu is currently employed with the Government of Saskatchewan as the Director of Data Analytics, supporting the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General and the Ministry of Community Safety. He brings nearly 23 years of dedicated community volunteer service, including his current role as President of the Arcola East Community Association. His previous leadership roles include Chairperson of the Regina Board of Police Commissioners, President of the Hindu Samaj of Southern Saskatchewan, President of the India Canada Association, and Chair of the Professional Conduct Committee for the Canadian Information Processing Society (Provincial Board).
