Use Drop & Go to skip the line, sign in to our account, tag your bags, drop your recycling, and be on your way! All you have to do is remember our code, G4G Regina (please be sure to put in a space after G4G and before the word Regina.) It’s really simple. The Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign is looking to the future. As the Campaign’s 20th anniversary celebration in Ottawa came to a close, members recommitted to global solidarity, hope and collective action to end AIDS. Grandmothers, activists, SLF partners and staff marched to Parliament Hill to honour 20 years of grandmothers’ solidarity and call for Canada’s leadership on global health.

Together with the grandmothers and our partners, the Stephen Lewis Foundation shares renewed hope and commitment to collective action toward a future free from AIDS.

The numbers are in…and we’re pleased to announce that the recent Art from the Attic sale, held on September 19, raised $14,849.50. These photos are of 'Happy Shoppers' who are thrilled with their purchases (and gave us permission to use their photos.) Several pieces of art that didn’t sell will appear over the winter in the Saskatchewan Network for Art Collecting on-line auction. If you missed your chance to make a purchase, do check out their website at sknac.ca.

On this Thanksgiving weekend, we are grateful we have the ability to support the Grandmothers of eastern and southern Africa. In the 14 countries where the Stephen Lewis Foundation has formed partnerships, the dollars go so much further than they would here in Canada. And through those partnerships with community-led organizations, so much is accomplished. There are clean energy initiatives that support healthy communities, organizations that help to strengthen food security for people living with HIV, and empowerment, education and gender equality programs supporting those in rural communities. Michael Norton, assistant professor of business administration in the marketing unit at the Harvard Business School conducted a series of studies with his colleagues at University of British Columbia. Together they showed that people are happier when they spend money on others rather than on themselves.

A huge shout out and message of incredible gratitude to everyone who contributed to Art From the Attic,AFTA! The generosity of the public who donated and purchased, businesses that accepted and stored carloads of gently enjoyed art and advertised the event, and a membership, under the leadership of SusanWhittick, that put in the hours, are collectively responsible for the continuing success of this signature fundraiser.

There are 800 of us, lovingly dusted, cleaned polished and refreshed waiting to find new homes today ! Art from the Attic doesn’t mean dusty, spider-webbed, stained and broken pieces. The grandmother volunteers have spent weeks showing us the TLC we deserve !
