Only 2 more sleeps until our popup sale!! This really is a clearance sale, and well worth checking out.
At the end (3pm) we will have many, many banana boxes with lids that we no longer need. They are great for storage or for moving. Easy to carry (if they're not full of books!) and to stack. Come and pick some up at 3:00, please. We will be breaking them down and recycling them soon after.

Be sure to come and check out our fabrics, saris, men’s ties and other items that we have kept since our previous sale in April. Our location is very convenient – park near the movie theatres at the Southland Mall, come in past the food court, and The Spot is on your left. The space will be filled with interesting fabric and smiling members of G4G who will help you with your purchases. We raised over $18,000 at our sale in April and are looking forward to being able to bring that total to over $20,000. Please come and help us make that happen

You will have a busy day on June 13. Be sure to come early to our popup sale so that you can still watch, or take part in, Regina’s Pride Parade, which starts at noon. Later, you might still have time to stop by before we close at 3pm, and be at the Rider game in time for its 5pm start. A busy day indeed!

We hope to see you at The Spot in Southland Mall.

We will be at The Spot on Friday June 12 in the afternoon, preparing for Saturday’s sale. We will be ready to show you our wares promptly at 10am on Saturday June 13. We hope the space is large enough for us to display 70 banana boxes of fabric that you missed at our first sale. We’re looking forward to returning this fabric to the community, and raising some more funds for G4G Regina to send to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

The countdown is on – four weeks to go!

As we closed our Fabric, Yarn & More sale last month, and after members of 10 different charities took away what they could use in their work, we found we had plenty of interesting fabric remaining. We packed it into boxes and distributed it to our members, to keep until June 13 for our Pop-Up Fabric Clearance Sale.

You won’t want to miss this sale, even though you may have restocked your fabric at our first one!
Come early for the best bargains, then come again at the end of the day if you can. You never know what might be left, and we don’t want to have to box the fabric again.

A clearance sale conjures up images of bargains! And that’s just what’s on offer at G4G Regina’s upcoming Pop-Up Fabric Clearance Sale! In order to honour the generous donations by this community and not discard the leftovers from our recent sale, and to raise more much-needed funds for the African grandmothers, we are holding this one-day event. Mark your calendars!

Please note we are NOT accepting donations for this event. Its purpose is to find new homes for what didn’t sell in April.

As the Fabric Yarn & More Sale 2026 fades into the distance, we want to thank Bib and Tucker Clothing for lending us a mannequin. This was used to display one of the beautiful saris donated for the sale. Thank you, also, to the Co-op Marketplace on Quance Street, for lending us grocery baskets for our shoppers to use as they moved through the different rooms.
Fun Fact – we had more than 200 banana boxes full of fabric, measured, priced and ready for sale. Thanks go to the many grocery stores for allowing us to take those boxes off their hands!

Once the sale was over, we had enough fabric left to hold another small sale in June. Visit us at The Spot at the Southland Mall on June 13, between 10 and 3. You may find some bargains that you missed!

Dr. Mukwege’s post is included in the various posts on the SL Legacy page:
This recent post is from Dr. Denis Mukwege, Panzi Hospital, Democratic Republic of Congo: “Deeply saddened by the passing of Stephen Lewis, a fervent fighter for justice and human rights. In 2008, he was one of the first international officials to come to Panzi. As despair grew and our fight against sexual violence seemed ignored, he managed to hold the hand of survivors. He immediately understood the urgency and took our advocacy to the highest international level. Through Stephen Lewis Foundation his commitment to HIV-AIDS and sexual assault has made him a hero to countless women, and to me, a brother and a role model. My thoughts are with his family and the Canadian people. Let us celebrate together the legacy of this icon of human dignity.”
