On April 3, 2011 Mandi Schwartz passed away after a courageous battle with Leukemia since being diagnosed in December 2008 while playing hockey for Yale University. As many of you will know throughout Mandi’s journey she inspired thousands of people and her amazing story will continue to do so for many years to come. In Mandi’s honour wristbands have been made to continue her legacy. The wristband
s are orange, the colour that supports Leukemia. The front of each wristband says ‘MANDI Inspires Me’ with the cancer ribbon in front and behind the message. The back has Mandi’s number ‘ #17’ and her favourite quote ‘Never Lose Heart’. MANDI Inspires Me wristbands are available with a minimum $5 donation, click on the Notre Dame link below to go to a page that will give you an order form and more information on how you can donate. You may also give your donations to Walker Morrison or to Melissa Warren at the Notre Dame Development Office. You will be mailed the wristbands shortly after your order in received. 75% of the money from your donation will go to the Mandi Schwartz Memorial Bursary to offer financial assistance to future Notre Dame Hounds, and 25% will go to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
