It’s a dream job. As summer students working in our native prairie environment we get to explore vast landscapes and breathtaking vistas. It’s easy to get lost in the beauty of our surroundings through the remote nature of our work. While we may not always have cell coverage we do hear the calls of wildlife, the songs of grassland songbirds and the chirping and buzzing of prairie insects. And of course we can’t forget to mention listening in on the communication between all those cows and their baby calves.

We love what we do and we’re proud to work with the ranchers who steward this land. If you’d like to learn more about our role in grassland conservation follow us or check out our website at www.ssgf.ca. We appreciate all the help we can get in raising the awareness about this threatened ecosystem.
