Last week, SSGF staff and a couple of our summer students attended the Prairie Conservation and Endangered Species Conference in Saskatoon.

This Earth Day, we recognize the role Saskatchewan ranchers play in conserving native grasslands. Every day, land stewards are making management decisions that support healthy rangelands, wildlife habitat, and long-term sustainability.

Grassland conservation isn’t just about protecting land, it’s about supporting the people who care for it. That’s what a producer-led approach looks like and is keeping grasslands intact while sustaining the livelihoods rooted in them.

🚨 Webinar Alert: Working Landscapes 🐄

Grasslands are working landscapes that support wildlife, store carbon and sustain rural communities – and ranchers play a key role in stewarding them. This webinar will explore how grassland-based livestock operations can contribute to ecosystem resilience, drawing on real-world experience from producers managing for the long-term health of the land.
