The African Caribbean Centre of Central Alberta and Afro-Caribbean Festival are seeking applications for two summer student positions. The positions include a Marketing Coordinator from May 1st to July 3rd and a Special Event Coordinator from June 15th to August 17th, both requiring 30 hours per week for 9 weeks. We invite youths between the ages of 15 and 30, enrolled in high school, college, or university, with expertise in these areas to apply. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, as per the Canada Summer Student Jobs requirements. Relevant experience in marketing and special event planning is an asset. Successful candidates will receive high-skills training, work in a safe and supportive environment, mentorship, safety and health training, diversity and inclusion training, and cultural awareness workshops. Management and subcommittee teams, as well as volunteer teams, will provide general support.
