The RDDA is a non-profit organization formed to provide information about Doulas & to inform expectant parents about their support options.

Our Birth Doulas are trained and committed to helping women have the birth they desire. We provide emotional support, physical comfort measures and encouragement during labour and delivery. Our Postpartum Doulas provide in home support after the birth of your baby. This can include emotional support, encouragement and helping you adjust to your new life with a new addition.

TyAnn Vendittelli

Hi I'm TyAnn, a Birth & Postpartum Doula and Childbirth Educator serving Central Alberta.

My journey into birthwork began with my own experiences navigating the challenges of a premature birth, NICU stay and then later postpartum depression and anxiety. Overcoming those struggles sparked a deep passion in me to support families through the highs and low of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I believe every person deserves to feel informed, respected and truly supported during and after giving birth.

Whether your planning and home or hospital birth, I'm here to provide evidence based education, emotional support, and advocacy without judgement. As a mother I know how overwhelming this journey can be and I'm honoured to walk alongside you on this sacred Journey.

I am a mom of 5. I live on a farm south of Drayton Valley and north of Rocky Mountain House. I have been a birth nurd my whole life, and it was only natural that I start a career holding space in the birthing room and postpartum after i was done raising my babies. I believe that everyone has the right to choose what happens in their birth. I also believe that anyone who gives birth knows their body and baby best and so should be listened to.

Hi, I’m Ashlee - the heart behind Heartfelt Moments Doula Care.

I’m a mom of two, and my own journey into motherhood is what led me to this work. I had my first baby at 21 and, honestly, had no idea what I was doing or where to turn. I didn’t even know what a doula was at the time.

My second birth, five years later, was a completely different experience - more informed, more supported, and truly empowering. That contrast lit a fire in me, and it’s one of the biggest reasons I became a doula.

Now, being a doula isn’t just what I do - it’s who I am.

I walk the line of a more holistic approach to care, offering compassionate, personalized support through every step of your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey - rooted in empathy, education, and deep presence. I’m known for being grounded, holding space with care, and bringing in humor when it’s needed most… and I can promise there will be laughs along the way! 😉

I’m not just here for the birthing mother - I support everyone involved in the journey, helping partners and families feel seen, prepared, and connected too!

Whether you’re planning a home birth or navigating a hospital delivery, I’m here for you - not just as a doula, but as a mom who’s walked both paths herself.

I’m based in Sylvan Lake, proudly supporting families throughout Central Alberta - but don’t tempt me with a good time outside those boundaries. 😉

Doulas are adaptable to many different environments and situations, but what’s important is finding a good fit for YOU. I don’t believe there is a proper way to birth. I’ve supported home births, hospital births and c-sections. You can choose a med-free birth or allll the drugs. What matters is that you feel supported and educated in your decision. My goal for all my doula clients is that they feel like they’re have someone in their corner, rooting for them all the way.

I’m a mama to two, wife, nurse, doula, fitness instructor, and overall wellness enthusiast.

I believe pregnancy and birth are an extremely sacred time in a woman's life, and I don't take this work lightly. Supporting women and their families through this time is an honour and a privilege.

I am Amanda, of Rituals By The Moon. Wild woman, mother of four wildlings, just doing life with my husband who keeps us grounded. I am a hippie, witchy, rebel, wild woman at heart who runs with the wolves. I am a seeker of adventure, a counter of the stars, and a follower of the moon! A wonderful evening spent connecting & storytelling (just missing a few that left early!)

One of our core foundational values at the RDDA is community, never competition. Especially in this line of work, it is more important than ever to have people you can call on for support, whether that be in the form of knowledge, guidance, call backup, or even emotional support. I mean, we’re doulas - support is what we do! We take a lot of pride in nurturing not only the families we serve, but each other as well. The work we do is powerful, but it’s the way we show up for each other that makes it truly sustainable. ❤️
