Happy Nunavut Day!
Today we celebrate the creation of Nunavut and the vision, determination, and leadership of Inuit who worked to establish a territory built on Inuit values, language, and self-determination.
Nunavut represents more than a place on a map, it is home. It is our communities, our culture, our language, our connection to the land, and the knowledge passed from one generation to the next.
At Ilitaqsiniq, we are proud to support Nunavummiut through programs that honour Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit while creating opportunities for learning, growth, and community well-being.
As we celebrate Nunavut Day, we recognize those who helped shape this territory and those who continue to build its future every day.
