FOUND! According to replies from Brooke Svisdahl, Frances has been found safe as of 1pm. Dale.

MISSING PERSON. Williams Lake RCMP is asking you to watch for 81-year old Frances Svisdahl. She was last seen in the 900 block of Hwy 20 on Sun, Oct 18 at 240pm. She may be driving a black 2015 Ford F-150 with license 3327-FH. Please share this and help find Frances. Dale.

100 Mile House has a new Mayor,

David Jurek defeated incumbent Maureen Pinkney with 64 per cent of the vote, becoming the new Mayor of the District of 100 Mile House.
Jurek received 408 votes, and Pinkney finished with 228.

For Council, Donna Barnett once again topped the polls for Councillor. Barnett received 440, 69 per cent of the vote.
She'll be joined by incumbent Dave Mingo, who received 348 votes, and newcomers Ralf Holzapfel and Erin Filtness.

Holzapfel got 238 votes, and Filtness received 212.

The District of 100 Mile House had 637 ballots cast out of 1,618 eligible voters.

The results of the Cariboo Regional District's Electoral Area races have been finalized...

There have been three upsets, with three new Directors elected.

Robert Mertz has been named the new Director for Electoral Area B, beating out the incumbent, Barb Bachmeier, by only 4 votes.

Mertz received 203 votes, Bachmeier 199, and Heloise Dixon-Warren received 195. Only 8 votes separated the Area B runners.

In Area C, Clint Cave has upset John Massier, who has held the Area C Director position since 2008.
Cave received 94 votes, and Massier got 80.

Finally, Dan Parker will be the new Director for Electoral Area L.
Parker got 286 votes, beating out incumbent Eric De Vries by 46. De Vries received 240 votes.

The re-elected Directors are Melynda Neufeld in Area E; Al Richmond in Area G; Margo Wagner in Area H; and Betty Anderson in Area K.

More Election Results to come, as we still wait for the School District Trustees in the Cariboo-Chilcotin and in Quesnel to be counted, as well as the municipal election results in 100 Mile House.

Coralee Oakes will be the new Mayor of the City of Quesnel

Oakes beat incumbent Ron Paull in a landslide win, securing 84 per cent of the vote. She is now the second female Mayor in Quesnel's history.

Oakes received 2,137 votes. Paull was next with 324 votes, and Brian Waters received 56 votes.

Jeremy Drew has been elected as City Councillor, topping the polls with 1,281 votes.

He will be joined by returning councillors Mitch Vik, Scott Elliot, Tony Goulet, and Laurey-Anne Roodenburg, as well as new to council Ryan Adams.

Incumbent Debra McKelvie and Martin Runge lost their seats. McKelvie was 7th in the polls, losing out on the last seat by 56.

In Quesnel, a total of 2,539 ballots were cast, out of 7,806 eligible voters.

We await the results of the 100 Mile House and Cariboo Regional District races. As well as the School Board Trustee results for the Quesnel and Cariboo-Chilcotin School Districts.

We have a Municipal Election Update for the Cariboo!

Surinderpal Rathor has been re-elected in Williams Lake.

Rathor secured his second term by picking up 2,116 votes in a pretty clear victory over opponent Walt Cobb, who received 1,026.

Scott Nelson has earned another term as City Councillor, topping the polls for Councillor with 1,795 votes.

Paul French was next with 1,733. Former Councillor Jason Ryll was third in the polls with 1,611.

They'll be joined by Michael Moses, who secured re-election; Nathan Weibe; and Ruth Lloyd.

Incumbent Sheila Boehm was 7th in the polls and lost the last seat by only 25 votes.

Wells has also elected its new Mayor.

Jillian Merrick will be taking over for Ed Coleman, who chose not to run for re-election.

Merrick received 85 votes and beat opponent Rocky Nenka, who received 56.

We are still waiting for the results of the Quesnel and 100 Mile House races, as well as the Cariboo Regional District and the Quesnel and Cariboo-Chilcotin School Districts.
