PROJECT ❌ HALLOWEEN PARTY DUMP

It’s a wrap everyone….!!! Thank you so much for an awesome party and for the memories once again! It was thrilling to all be gathered on Grande-Allée on this frightening night, and you surely went all out with your costumes!!🕸🤌🏻

Wanna join next year's council? Well, now’s the time to do so! Yup, the annual SLCSA elections are coming! There are 7 positions available right now and if you read this, chances are you are or you know someone who wants to get involved in the student life! Interested? All you have to do is to fill out the forms provided here:

- Monday April 25: Elections officially start!

- Friday April 29, 4 PM: Closing of Omnivox polls to vote and during the evening: Results!

🧐✊ IS THE FUTURE WOKE?

As you may or may not know, the Philosophy Symposium is a 2-hour event that normally happens at St. Lawrence, where participants discuss in a casual way a contemporary philosophical question, around their drinks.

This year, it’s going to be hosted online by Philippe S. Blouin and the theme is: Is the future woke?

When? Thursday March 24, 2022, from 5 to 7 PM!

🍒💿 SLCSA x SLC FASHION SHOW’S THIRD EVENT

May I have your attention, please? May I have your attention, please? SLCSA party on the first Friday after Spring break! I repeat, SLCSA party on the first Friday after Spring break! We’re back in the 2000’s baby😈

- When: Friday March 18, 2022, 8 PM
- Where: Pub Ozone Grande-Allée
- Price: $5 either by cash or tap (debit/credit)
- Sale: In St. Lawrence’s caf, everyday at 12:30 PM, starting on the first Monday after Spring break (14), until sold out! No reservation, first come, first served, and you can buy tickets for your friends
- Tickets are mandatory to enter the event and no sales will be made at the door!
- Locker room: $3 cash at the entrance

RULES/COVID-19
🤩 Opened to all! (as long as you’re 18+)
🥳 Dance’s allowed, but you must wear your mask at all time, except when seated
❌ No vaccine passeport required
📞 Last call at 3 AM

❤️‍🔥👩‍🦯👨‍🦯 LOVE IS BLIND (VALENTINE’S DAY ACTIVITY)

On Tuesday February 15, starting at 12:30 PM in the auditorium, the council is hosting Love Is Blind for SLC students!!!

Participants will be split into two groups separated by a "wall" and take turn answering various questions. At the end, each participant will be asked to select their favorite candidate from the opposite side. Hopefully we will witness a match (and perhaps a date for Valentine's Day!)❤️🍫

The SLCSA wishes to conduct the activity in a safe environment that fosters respect and inclusivity. As such, to all who may feel like participating in the activity, we encourage you to take the Google Forms in our page’s bio, if you feel comfortable🤝 Therefore, your input would be of great help to us in the organization process!

🎄💪DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT

On Thursday December 9, during lunch time, the SLCSA will be hosting its annual Dodgeball Tournament in the gym!!! Finally! Since the pandemic is still out there, we won’t collect hampers. However, each participant must pay $3 and the money will go to Christmas Hampers (6 teams of 7 students + 1 team of 7 teachers/staff, etc.)😇 We believe that it’s the perfect opportunity to have fun while giving back, as Christmas’ coming❤️

St. Lo’s band What The Heck’s L-O-V-E Shows were this Friday and Saturday night and they genuinely killed it! Yup, these young people delivered outstanding performances and that’s why the council wanted to enlighten their talent! To all What the Heck members, be proud of yourselves as much as we are😎

We cannot wait until your next show and on behalf of all the SLC community: Congratulations!🤙

🧪🧬🤓 SLCSA’S BBC (BIG BRAIN COMPETITION)

You heard it here first guys! The end of the semester is approaching fast and...the SLCSA is hosting ONE BIG CONTEST for all the big brainers out there willing to take on the challenge! 🧠 Good at maths? Spelling? Memorizing funky numbers? Solving Rubik’s cubes? Are you that one friend who knows all songs? If so, this one’s for you!!!

On November 23 (next Tuesday) during lunch time, the BBC (Big Brain Competition) will be comprised of 6 categories:

- 1 Rubik’s Cube
- 1 Math Problem
- 1 listing of the most digits of Euler’s number ‘e’
- 1 Spelling Bee
- 1 Game of Finish the Lyrics

We are opening up the stage for any and all St. Lo students! You guys build your own teams and get to designate one member per challenge stated above (so 5 per team)! Only 4 teams will participate so be quick on DMing or Mio us to sign up!😎😎 COME IN GREAT NUMBER!!!

BON, after a week of waiting… here are the insane pictures of Fright Night taken by the talented Étienne Collin🎃🎈This SLCSA event was once again a real success😎: everybody came costumed, there was good music, a lot of fun, tons of memories, etc.💙❤️ Thank you for everything guys!!!

🎶😎 Invitation to a free ALC event, this Thursday November 4, at 4:15 PM (auditorium)!

For ALC Day, this Thursday (tomorrow) the SLC’s Arts and Letters department has invited a musical performer: Marco Ema, who is a budding young talent, on the verge of releasing his first album (Où nos corps s'en vont mourir).

He will perform original compositions starting at around 4:15 PM until 5!

This is a tremendous (and rare) opportunity for students from all programs to listen to some great live music in the auditorium. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED🤩 See you there!!!
