Meet another mentor who will be guiding our youth at the BECOME the Next Coach Camp, taking place March 16–20, 2026.

We are proud to introduce Alexandra, Project Manager at Sport’Aide and holder of a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology.

Former basketball coach and dedicated advocate for positive youth development, Alexandra specializes in helping student-athletes build life skills through sport.

Alongside Élisabeth Gros-Louis, she will co-lead a workshop focused on safe and ethical sport environments.

Participants will explore:

✔️ Different forms of violence in sport
✔️ How to recognize at-risk situations
✔️ Positive behaviours that create safe, respectful spaces
✔️ Practical strategies to lead with integrity

Because strong coaching is not only about performance, it’s about creating environments where every athlete feels safe and valued.

We are proud to welcome Alexandre Obomsawin, proud First Nations member and experienced volleyball coach.

With 13 years as an athlete, including 5 seasons with Université Laval’s Rouge et Or, Alexandre understands the journey from player to leader.

Today, he coaches full-time, supports athlete development at multiple levels, and contributes as a sport consultant for the FNEC Inter-School Games.

He brings real experience, leadership, and passion for developing the next generation.

This is the kind of mentor our youth will have the opportunity to learn from.
