PickleBowl is coming—and it’s all for a great cause!

We’re hosting a pickleball tournament fundraiser and every rally, serve, and point played will help us get one step closer to something big: an accessible transit vehicle.

This vehicle will open the door to more outings, appointments, and everyday moments that help the people we support stay connected to their community.

👉Recreational Activities Counsellor (Summer/ Student Role)👈
Description: The Recreational Activities Counsellor supports individuals with varying abilities in participating in recreational, life skills, sensory, and spiritual activities. This role supports individuals in choosing and engaging in activities that reflect their interests and goals, helping them live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Location/Time: Opportunities in Oxford and Pugwash, positions are Full-Time Seasonal (Summer)

Requirements:
• Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee status in Canada.
• Must be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of employment.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with a valid SIN.
• Must be registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.
• Must not be receiving Employment Insurance (EI) benefits while employed with us.

A big moment for Sunrise Landing.

At the end of March, the first home arrived on site—a milestone that makes the project feel real in a whole new way.

We know how needed housing is in our area. The response to this project made that clear from the very beginning, and it’s something we’ve been thinking about every step of the way.

As things pick up this spring, more homes will start to take shape, with the first ready for occupancy this summer.

Sunrise Landing is about creating housing that works for people—whether that’s someone working locally, in healthcare, or anyone looking to build a life here.

It’s exciting to see it starting to come together.

This weekend, we spent some time in the sugar woods learning how maple syrup is made.

From tapping the trees to seeing how sap turns into syrup, it was one of those experiences where you pick things up just by being there and taking it all in.

There were lots of smiles, good conversations, and a shared appreciation for one of our favourite sweet treats.
