๐Ÿšจ MISSING MAN IN STEWART, BRITISH COLUMBIA - DMYTRO MALOVICHKO, 38 - LAST SEEN MARCH 25, 2026

๐Ÿ“ข RCMP is seeking public assistance in locating 38-year-old Dmytro Malovichko, who was reported missing on April 15, 2026.

Dmytro had not been heard from since April 8, 2026 and was last seen on March 25, 2026. On May 22, 2026, a rental vehicle associated with him was found abandoned on a Forest Service Road near kilometre 95 of Highway 37. It is unknown how he is now travelling.

He is described as a Caucasian man, 5'11" (180 cm) tall, 221 lbs (100 kg), with brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dmytro Malovichko is urged to contact Stewart RCMP at 250-636-2233 or their local police.

As we recognize Safe Boating Awareness Week, weโ€™re proud to highlight the Prince Rupert Marine Rescue Societyโ€™s Kids Donโ€™t Float program, which provides free, temporary access to lifejackets, also known as Personal floatation Devices (PFDs), for children aged six months to 16 years. This volunteer-driven initiative operates on an honour system and helps families stay safe while enjoying the water.

to 2025, when the Prince Rupert Ground Search and Rescue (PRGSR) team was able to acquire a new inflatable boat, boards, rescue kits, survival suits, and throwline, enabling the team to perform Swiftwater and Ice rescues.

Thanks to a contribution via the Prince Rupert Port Authority's Community Investment Fund, this helps build greater resiliency for our regionโ€™s emergency coordination capabilities and enhances public safety.

While Southern and coastal regions often see incidents involving hikers, trail runners, mountain bikers, paddlers, and climbers, northern and interior regions frequently involve hunters, ATV and UTV users, resource road travellers, remote anglers, foragers, and backcountry campers. โ†’ Regardless of activity or location, preparedness remains critical.โ†
