Welcome to Peter's Pyjama Party Page!
After loosing our feisty, precious, witty, playful treasure of a child to brain cancer shortly after his 8th birthday, our family struggled, well with everything for some time. We found Christmas especially difficult to get in the mood for. We knew how important is was to continue making family memories with our living child, and we also wanted to continue including Peter in our holidays and celebrations.
Our children's auntie had always bought Christmas pyjamas for our kids, starting this tradition on Peter's first Christmas. That very first Christmas after Peter passed, she still bought PJs for each of our children and donated Peter's to BC Children's hospital. The next Christmas we expanded on that sentiment and Peter's Pyjama Party was born!
All of a sudden the sadness and dread that I (Peter's mom) felt over having Christmas without him was transformed into excitement. Our house was decorated for a Christmas party. Friends and family, who also loved and grieved Peter, gathered together and in his honour gave gifts that would help others.
This tradition has continued, and each year I am humbled by the sense of community and love that I feel when bundling donations to help families out around the holiday season.
We ask for donations of

Toothbrushes and Toothpaste
Socks and underwear
