Port Hope Lion Bob Van Wort received a Chevron Award presented by District Governor Kevin Kimmerly in recognition of 50 years of service to Lions. Lion Bob joined Lions in 1974 and is a past member of the Cobourg and Bewdley clubs and is now a valued member of the New Port Hope Lions.

Are you thinking to yourself 'self, I have a want and need to get out and help in the community,' or, 'I think I want to get out in the community and meet new folks and have a good time doing it' or maybe you just like a challenge and want to help us rebuild the Port Hope Lions community, the longest running club in the district.

We are looking for volunteers, from helping bartend at events, to helping with a fresh coat of paint every now and then, and helping out at community events at our hall and in the community, we want to hear from you.

A huge thank you to the businesses and individuals who supported The Music Helps Families Concert Fundraiser on Friday night with so many musicians that also donated their time to the Gibson and Walsh Families. $1750 was raised for both families and we will be delivering checks soon.

In the meantime, please support all these businesses as they support so much in our area.
