Racquets Renewals open May 15
The Racquets Committee has been hard at work this winter enhancing your racquets experience. This season will bring new programming, improved equipment, additional tournaments, and upgrades to Clubspot.
We are pleased to announce that Jon Kantarci will be returning as Head Pro. Joining him is our new Assistant Pro, Matt Barclay, and returning Court Administrator, Charlie Kernahan. Both Jon and Matt have obtained their Level 1 Pickleball Instructor certification, helping us deliver a well-rounded clinic and lesson program.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to retiring committee members Val Garber and Rory Hunter for their outstanding contributions. Their dedication, leadership, and countless hours of service have had a lasting impact on the racquets program at Ojibway.
Following a thorough search by the Club’s Nominating Committee, we are pleased to welcome Barksdale Pennick, Ian Scott, and David Sharpe. We look forward to their contributions as we continue to enhance the racquets experience for all members.
As opening day on June 24 approaches, racquets members will begin receiving weekly updates with information on tournaments, special events, and clinics. If you prefer not to receive these communications, please contact the Club office at [email protected].
This year, all Racquets Membership applications will be completed online through Clubspot. We encourage members to sign up early. The tournament schedule is now available, and registration will open once your membership application has been submitted. Please ensure you are familiar with Clubspot, as all players must be registered prior to participating.
