Listuguj Haven House

Listuguj Haven House Since 1991, the Listuguj Haven House Women’s Shelter has provided a safe place for women and their families.

Since 1991, the Haven House Women’s Shelter has provided a safe place for women and their families. We encourage community members to learn more about family violence and, equally important, to take the steps needed to break the cycle of violence. At Haven House we have an open door approach; we offer a warm, friendly space for women and their families. In a positive manner, our staff are actively

involved in community activities. At Haven House, we support healthy families, advocating for women knowing that ‘Family violence is not a Mi’gmaq way of life.’ Education and awareness about ending family violence and violence against Aboriginal women is at the heart of the work undertaken by their staff at the Listuguj Haven House Women’s Shelter.
