DK! Donkey Kong is here!

Join us TONIGHT in the event room at Cork & Bean for 7 pm as we discuss anything and everything to do with the leader of the bunch, the first member of the DK crew… Donkey Kong!

And once we’re finished gushing about our favourite gorilla, it’ll be time for trivia! Compete against fellow DK fans by attempting to correctly answer ten multiple choice questions. As always, the winner will receive a prize (which may or may not include a bunch of bananas), so do your best! Will you kick some tail, or cry out for mummy? Either way, you’re in for one HELL (heck) of a time!

Just a heads up that we will be taking to the skies tomorrow for Zelda night! Our meeting at 7 pm will take place on the top level of Cork & Bean, rather than the event room. Fittingly enough, the trivia prize is a 1000-piece puzzle featuring artwork from Skyward Sword! So come join us tomorrow night where the sky’s the limit when it comes to our love of video games!

And once we're done exploring Hyrule's vast overworld, contestants will head down to the dungeons and face the trials of TRIVIA! Take up your sword and shield (some bombs and arrows wouldn't hurt either...) and be prepared to answer ten multiple choice questions about one of the most beloved video game franchises of all time! Find your wisdom, courage, and power, as the winner will receive a prize more rewarding that rupees! Will you succeed in your quest and be dubbed the Hero of Time? A new meeting has appeared!
DISCUSSION AND TRIVIA APPROACHING

Join us in the event room at Cork & Bean on Saturday, February 7 at 7 pm as we discuss Sakurai's star-studded slamfest... Super Smash Bros.! (Try saying that 5 times fast!)

And once we've finished talking about this famous fighting series in the Light Realm, members will delve into the Dark Realm to try their (master) hand at trivia! It's a battle of wits as challengers will answer ten brain-busting multiple choice questions. Choose your character wisely, as the last one standing will a prize! Will you win the match and strike a victory pose, or will you be sent back to Training Mode with your tail between your legs?

Happy Holidays, PTBO gamers!

With 2025 coming to a close, we would like to thank everyone who came out to support the PTBO Video Game Club this past year. Whether you're new to our group or have been with us since the beginning, we sincerely appreciate you sharing your time and knowledge with us. We hope you've enjoyed our monthly video game discussions and will continue to attend in the new year.

On that note, we would also like to announce the next chapter of the PTBO Video Game Club. Join us in the event room at Cork & Bean on Saturday, January 10, at 7 pm as we discuss the Paper Mario series! From its sheet-tacular start on the N64 to its novel iteration on Nintendo Switch, we cover it all!

And don't forget about TRIVIA! Once we close the book on our Paper Mario discussion, members will test their knowledge of the series by answering ten multiple choice questions. Can you cut through the competition and claim the title of "Origami King"? Or will you fold under pressure and deliver a tearable performace? Join us on January 10 to find out! See you then.

Happy Thursday, PTBO gamers!

To celebrate the release of Legends: Z-A and nearly one year of the PTBO Video Game Club (!), the topic of our next meeting will be POKÉMON! Join us in the event room at Cork & Bean on Saturday, November 1 at 7:30 pm as we discuss the video game series turned worldwide phenomenon. Like a true Pokémon master, we'll be covering every mainline game in the series! We gotta talk about 'em all!

And don't forget about TRIVIA! Once we've completed our Pokédex, we'll test your knowledge of everyone's favourite pocket monsters with ten gym-level multiple choice questions.
