Community Fundraiser Marks Five Years of Giving Back as CannaDrag Peterborough Returns June 26
PETERBOROUGH, ONTARIO — A beloved community fundraiser is returning to Sadleir House on Friday, June 26, marking five years of supporting local causes, celebrating inclusion, and bringing people together through entertainment, community spirit, and charitable giving.
The annual event has spent the past five years raising funds, supporting charitable initiatives, and creating welcoming spaces where community members can connect, celebrate, and give back. While the event has evolved over the years, its mission has remained the same: building community through compassion, creativity, and collective action.
Now presented as CannaDrag Peterborough, the event has grown into an award-winning celebration that combines live entertainment, fundraising, and community engagement while continuing to support important causes. This year's event will raise funds in support of YMCA Sprott House, helping provide safe housing, support services, and brighter futures for LGBTQ2S+
Presented by Sparq Retail and Produced by High.Ku.Co this year's show will feature ten performers from across Ontario and beyond. PFlag Niagara Ambassador, Lucy Drake will serve as host for the evening.
The 2026 lineup includes headliner Sahira The Djinn alongside El Hashem, Count Klassy, Lezbia Roxx, Destiny Stitz, King Luc, Axel Lexa, Violetta, Velma Bones, and Missery.
Organizers say the fifth anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate not only the event itself, but also the volunteers, performers, sponsors, community partners, and attendees who have supported the fundraiser over the years.
In addition to ticket sales, local businesses are contributing raffle prizes, silent auction items, gift certificates, and sponsorship support to help maximize the event's charitable impact.
"For five years, this event has been powered by community," added Reverend Kelly. "Every sponsor, volunteer, performer, donor, and attendee has played a role in helping us give back. This milestone belongs to all of them."
Community members are encouraged to attend, support the fundraising efforts, and help celebrate five years of community-driven giving.
