Our hearts are heavy as we grieve the loss of our dear friend Sonia. ❤️

Sonia was a dear friend to many of us at TYC and someone who shared so many memories with us over the years. She was there for events, celebrations, staff gatherings and many moments in between. She was loved by so many of us, and her loss is being felt deeply within our TYC family and throughout our community.

We know many of our youth and community members are grieving too. We have dedicated space to smudge, make prayer ties, have some food, sit together, share memories or simply have some company.

We are holding her children, Naomie, Ayla, Easton and Everleigh, her partner Peter, and her many friends, family and chosen family close in our hearts during this incredibly difficult time.

Sonia will be deeply missed and remembered with so much love.

❤️
