Hello happy paddlers! I hope everyone is having a great fall! We made a trip last weekend to Nelson and we were able to pick up a lot of boats generously donated by Canoe Kayak BC to help get us off the ground. Great to see my friend and former Canadian Olympic kayaker Jason Rusu.

We're still working with the city to find a space to put down some roots.

Please reach out if anyone wants to coordinate some fall padding!

Thanks so much for everyone that came out to our "Meet and Greet" last Saturday, we had a blast and it was so nice to meet so many new faces! We'll stay in touch and hopefully host another one in July. Happy paddling from the Skaha Aquatic Club!

Friendly reminder we are meeting tomorrow morning at 11:00 am at the Esplanade area just past the tennis courts for a meet and greet. Bring down your canoe, kayak or paddle board! See you there!

Hello Paddlers, we've had some sunny days but also some cool and windy days this spring. I am proposing a "meet and great" on Saturday May 02, 2026, at 11am at the Esplanade area. Bring your kayak, canoe and or paddle board and meet other paddle enthusiasts that share the love of the water. Kids and adults both welcome! Please spread the word and encourage others to either donate to the GoFundMe page and or follow this Facebook group. The more momentum we generate the better!

Hello to all happy paddlers,

We just wanted to share the recent update that this month we appeared before Penticton City Counsel along with a representative from Canoe Kayak BC about the prospect of our new club! The City appeared to be well receiving of our intention however did not revisit the topic during the rest of the meeting.

We are still working with the City of Penticton and the Parks Department to hopefully finalize a spot for the club to grow and establish some roots. We are still crossing our fingers for some space in the Esplanade area on Okanagan Lake.

Please stay tuned and if the weather cooperates early in March we want to schedule a group paddling day/ meet and greet to share, network and connect over our love of paddling. Thanks!

Hello everyone,

We want to extend a huge thank you for the continued support and generous donations to the GoFundMe campaign. Every single dollar raised truly makes a difference and brings us one step closer to getting the club up and running.

We would also like to begin gauging interest from individuals and families who may be interested in joining the club—whether from a recreational perspective or for those interested in more competitive programming.

In addition, we are hoping to offer private, non-motorized boat storage for canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards in the future.
