The 2026 Summer Park Plays schedule has arrived!

Join Penhold FCSS as we explore parks across town all summer long. Each Park Play features a fun activity, plenty of free play, and opportunities to meet other families in the community.

Attend events throughout the summer and earn entries for a chance to win a fantastic end-of-summer prize.

The Golden Circle Outreach Worker will be at the library this Thurs. June 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to assist any seniors who are interested in accessing outreach services or may need support.

Second & Third Thursdays (Evenings) ⏰ 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

National Indigenous Peoples Day, June 21 .

Today, we celebrate the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.

To mark the day, we invite you to explore Powwow! Ohcîwin The Origins, a free virtual exhibit from the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery. Through stories, regalia, dance, and teachings shared by Indigenous artists and knowledge keepers, the exhibit offers an opportunity to learn about the origins and significance of powwow traditions.

Looking for a fun way to spend part of your Saturday? Join us at the Penhold Multiplex for an afternoon of family-friendly activities and community connection!

If the weather is nice, we'll be outside enjoying games and outdoor fun. Prefer a quieter pace? Step inside and unwind with books, activities, and a welcoming space hosted by Penhold & District Library.

Whether you stay for a few minutes or the whole afternoon, everyone is welcome to drop in, connect with neighbours, and enjoy some quality family time.

The Community Impact Campaign focuses on recognizing the everyday ‘small acts’ that strengthen communities across the Red Deer & District region.

Not all community building happens through formal volunteering. Sometimes it’s checking in on a neighbour, welcoming someone new, coaching youth, or lending a hand without being asked.
