Blues On Pender

Blues On Pender Blues On Pender (www.BluesOnPender.com) is an organization that promotes and encourage blues music and related genres on Pender Island, BC Canada.

The Blues On Society are a group of folk who, simply put, love blues and want to share the experience with friends and neighbors. We have taken inspiration from friends in the Mississippi Blues Society – based in the Ottawa Valley on the Mississippi River – and although we only incorporated in February 2014 we have been been working towards building a similar community here on the west coast since 2012.

General information

Our purposes are: - To promote and encourage blues music and related genres. - To assist with the advancement of both amateur and professional musical careers – with an emphasis on youth and their families. - To foster musicianship. - To establish and maintain events for live blues. - To develop music centric events that will provide introductions and collaboration opportunities with other communities not normally available. - To promote and advocate for our community as a whole where the Society’s purposes can be of benefit.
