UPDATE - 29 May 2026 - Robbery - Pembroke

The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested one person in connection to a robbery at a gas station in the City of Pembroke.

On May 13, 2026, at approximately 2:10 a.m., police responded to a robbery at a gas station in the 1200 block of Pembroke Street West. A female entered the store, brandished a knife, and demanded cash from an employee. The employee was not injured, and the person fled the scene with a quantity of cash.

OPP's Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) investigated the robbery with the assistance of the UOV OPP Crime Unit. A suspect was identified and arrested on May 28, 2026, by the OPP West Region Bail Support Team.

A 32 year old female from Brantford has been arrested and charged with the following offences:

· Robbery with a weapon

· Disguise with intent

· Fail to comply with Probation order two counts

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Pembroke on May 29, 2026

ROBBERY - Pembroke - 13 May 2026

The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a robbery at a gas station in the City of Pembroke.

On May 13, 2026, at approximately 2:10 a.m., police responded to a robbery at a gas station in the 1200 block of Pembroke Street West. A female entered the store, brandished a knife, and demanded cash from an employee. The employee was not injured, and the person fled the scene with a quantity of cash. They were last observed on foot, eastbound on Pembroke Street West. Responding officers, along with OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) members and the Canine Unit, were unable to locate the individual.

The person of interest is described as:

White female, late 30's in age with dark hair
Approximately 160cm (5ft 3in) with a medium build

OPP's Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) is continuing the investigation with the assistance of the UOV OPP Crime Unit. Updates will be released as further information becomes available.

Fatal Collision - WWR - 27 May 2026

The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision on Highway 17 in Whitewater Region Township.

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at approximately 10:39 a.m., members of the Renfrew Detachment of the OPP responded to a two-vehicle serious motor vehicle collision. A 62-year-old female from Cobden, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionist attended the scene, alongside emergency crews. The investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
