The Grind Pembroke A faith-based charity dedicated to help marginalized people in our community:

We are a volunteer-driven registered charity (CRA Registration # 76353 0896 RR0001) incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario. We serve marginalized, low- to no-income community members from through-out Renfrew County. We are located in the heart of downtown Pembroke, Ontario, providing an inclusive, welcoming environment for the benefit of all who visit and access our services. The Grind Pembroke, a not-for-profit charity (CRA registration no. 76353 0896 RR 0001), gratefully accepts donations by cash or cheque at our Client Services Office located in downtown Pembroke, 273 Victoria Street, Pembroke, ON K8A 4K5. Income tax receipts for monetary donations of $20.00 and above will be available if the donor’s name and mailing address are included with the donation. October 10 is World Homeless Day.

Every person has a story. A name. A neighbour. A future worth believing in. ❤️

At The Grind, we meet people experiencing homelessness who deserve what we all need: dignity, safety, friendship and a place to belong.

A warm meal, a shower, clean clothing and someone who listens can offer comfort and connection while we work together toward lasting solutions.

This World Homeless Day, let’s look beyond labels and see the person. Here in Pembroke, compassion starts with how we treat our neighbours.

We are so thankful for our staff, volunteers, donors and community partners who help us share meals, friendship and hope.

May all be fed. May all be healed. May all be loved. Amen. ❤️

SAVE THE DATE!!!

🎄 Join The Grind for “There Is Room at the Table,” a Christmas evening of music, drama and hope.

We’ll share the story of how The Grind began and the people we help, including those facing homelessness, hunger, addiction and loneliness. Whatever someone is going through, there is always room at the table.

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, Emmanuel, “God with us,” we’re reminded of the hope and love He brings, and the invitation to share that love with others.

🦃🍂 So much to be thankful for at The Grind!

Today, we served 72 full turkey meals at our Thanksgiving lunch! It was a wonderful time to share good food, friendship and a welcoming place at the table.

We are so blessed by our staff, volunteers, donors and everyone who helped make this meal possible. Thank you for the care and kindness you bring to our community. ❤️

Our theme is “You Are Worth Searching For”, based on Luke 15:1–7. Together, we’ll explore Jesus’ story of the lost sheep and the reminder that each of us matters to God.
