Wonderful news, everyone!

Coming back to hear that our Jordan’s Principle group proposal has been approved was the absolute best news to return to. My heart is so full.

Thanks to this approval, 60 families across our three nations will soon receive grocery support. This milestone would not have been possible without the letters of support from Senior Leadership from all three nations, SSHS, UANSS, and our dedicated community technicians who walked door to door with me. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

The hardest part is officially done! This week, I’ll be visiting all three communities to gather signatures for the required consent forms so our families can begin grocery shopping as soon as possible.

I look forward to seeing you on my rounds. Thank you to all our families for your continued trust, support, and warmth.

As I return to serving our three beautiful communities with Southern Stl'atl'imx Health Society, I'm coming back with a heart full of gratitude and renewed purpose.

I recently spent time in with my loved ones, including my two grandmothers, one 91, the other just celebrating her 85th birthday. Sitting beside my bedridden grandmother reminded me that true health goes beyond clinical measurements, medications, and treatments. It's deeply tied to family, dignity, relationships, and simply being there for one another.

This week I'll be traveling through all three communities to listen, learn, and reconnect.
Building on my earlier focus on health promotion and family needs with children under 18, I am now expanding into chronic disease management and prevention including congestive heart failure, diabetes, COPD, and cardiovascular wellness, etc.

Alongside clinical care, I remain committed to fostering health, laughter, and strong community connections through local activities and events. I would continue to build on the momentum where we left off. My practice is guided entirely by what matters to you. If you have ideas, feedback, or ways I can better support you or your family, please come say hello.

Thank you to Amanda Sshs for the opportunity to serve these wonderful communities once again.

Grateful to be back, see you in community!

06/23/2026

As I prepare for my summer leave, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Amanda Sshs and Southern Stl'atl'imx Health Society for the opportunity to serve the communities of Skatin, Samahquam, and N'Quatqua.

Over the past months, I have had the privilege of meeting many families, visiting homes, sharing conversations, and supporting health and wellness initiatives throughout the communities. Whether through door to door visits, wellness activities, Lunch & Learns, or everyday conversations, the relationships built have been the most rewarding part of my work.

Thank you for your trust, kindness, hospitality, and willingness to engage in conversations about health and well-being. It has been an honour to serve alongside you and learn from you.

This week, I will be away completing additional training before my leave. After that, I will be travelling to India to spend time with my grandmothers and family, a special opportunity for which I am deeply grateful.

Thank you again for making me feel so welcome. I wish everyone a safe, healthy, and enjoyable summer, and I look forward to reconnecting with you in the fall.
