Unfortunately we have decided to cancel our 2026 Quad Upland Test due to extremely low entries. Hopefully we will see you all next year!

Hope everyone had an awesome opening morning. We'd love to see your hunts.

🐾 That’s a wrap on another training season! 🦆

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to train, lend a hand, throw birds, share advice, and spend their Thursday nights with us. We had a great season filled with lots of dogs, lots of learning, and even more laughs.

With migratory bird season upon us, our regular Thursday night training is officially finished until the spring. 🍂

Good luck to everyone heading out this fall — we hope all that training pays off in the blind! 🦆🐕 Until next season!

🐾 One Last Thursday Night! 🦆

It’s hard to believe, but this Thursday will be our last regular Thursday night training of the season!

With migratory bird season here, it’s time for many of our members — and their dogs — to trade training nights for mornings in the blind. 🦆🍂

Join us Thursday at 5:30 PM at Mount Pakenham for one last evening of training before we wrap things up until spring!

It’s been an incredible training season, and we’re so thankful to everyone who came out, helped, trained, learned, laughed and spent their Thursday nights with us. 💚

See you Thursday for one more! 🐾

Then… happy hunting! 🦆

🐾 WHAT AN AMAZING HUNT TEST WEEKEND! 🦆

That’s a wrap on the 2026 OVHRC Hunt Test, and what a weekend it was! 💚

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this weekend such a success. To our incredible judges, thank you for giving your time, knowledge and expertise to put on a great test. To all of our volunteers, we truly could not do this without you. From weeks of preparation to early mornings, long days, bird throwing, marshaling, cooking, cleaning, setting up and everything in between — every helping hand made a difference.

And of course, thank you to everyone who came out to run dogs, support friends, cheer each other on and spend the weekend with us. We loved having you and hope you had as much fun as we did!

🏆 A very special congratulations to our OVHRC President Rod and Sadie on earning their HRCH title this weekend! What an incredible accomplishment!

🎉 Congratulations as well to club members Laura and David on earning their HR titles! We are so proud to celebrate these accomplishments with our club family.

And congratulations to ALL of our participants on your passes, accomplishments and great dog work throughout the weekend. Whether you went home with a ribbon, a new title, or simply more experience with your dog, thank you for being part of our test.

We have LOTS more photos and videos to share over the coming days, so stay tuned! 📸🐾

From all of us at the Ottawa Valley Hunting Retriever Club, thank you for making this such a memorable weekend. Until next time! 🦆💚
