When you’re out and about in town, be sure to take a moment to enjoy the beautiful hanging baskets and planters. A big thank you to Mayco Well Service for hanging them up and to Paula and Sherry at Dirt’ n Daisys for their ongoing efforts each year in putting these amazing baskets together.
And of course, a shout-out to the town crew who will be tending to these baskets all summer long. We appreciate everyone’s hard work in keeping everything looking fantastic!
And to all of you who have supported the flower committee, we just want to say thank you. Your support truly keeps our community vibrant and blooming!

Today was a little different than last year when we planted the flowers—last year, we were all bundled up in hoodies and mitts because it was so cold! This year, we were fortunate enough to plant in beautiful sunshine with just a little breeze. The flowers are all planted in their pots, and we’re excited to get the baskets up next week. Huge shoutout to Dirt & Daisy for the gorgeous flowers that will be brightening up the town. Hope everyone enjoys them, and stay tuned for our next project starting on Monday!

We’re excited to share that the Flower Committee was able to give back to the Villa community! We provided them with a gift certificate to our local greenhouse so they can pick out beautiful, vibrant flowers. Now they’ll be able to sit outside, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy the colors all around them.

Today was the day we planted the 78 hanging baskets! A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers and a special shoutout to Paula and Sherry at The Greenhouse for getting everything ready. Fingers crossed for warm weather and calm winds so we can get these hung soon!

Oxbow and surrounding communities, you’ve amazed us once again with your outstanding support in attending Trivia Night. It was wonderful to see everyone come together for a fun night full of laughter and friendly competition. Thank you to the familiar faces who come back year after year, and it was wonderful to welcome new ones to join us this time around.
We also took a moment to celebrate Robert’s birthday and to honor Ron Rossow for the many years he’s been part of this event.
A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers and to all the businesses and individuals who generously donated to our auction tables. Your support truly keeps this event going strong and it has not gone unnoticed we are so grateful.
Congratulations to Municipal Minds for taking home the bragging rights this year!

We’re just days away from Trivia Night at the Oxbow Memorial Hall on May 2nd! There’s still room for a few more tables if anyone’s interested in joining the fun. The sun is shining, it feels like spring, and Saturday is shaping up to be a beautiful day to come out, enjoy some community spirit, share some laughs, sip on some cold beverages, and check out our chinese auction. The questions are ready and we’re excited to see who will take home those bragging rights!

Ignite your Competitive Spirit!
Save the date - The Oxbow Flower Committee invites you to Trivia Night on May 2nd, where community spirit and friendly rivalry come together. Join us for an evening of fun, laughter, debates, table bantering, and refreshing cold drinks. It was a nail-biter to the end last year between Unleashed Ash Kickers and Municipal Minds. Will Unleashed Ash kickers hold on to the title again? Or will your team rise to the challenge and out do them? Who will have bragging rights for 2026? More details to come.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you!
As we wrap up another year, we just want to say how truly grateful we are for your support. The Flower Committee wouldn’t be what it is without this wonderful community cheering us on, showing up, and helping us grow — year after year.

Next year’s flowers are already picked, and trust us… they are going to look absolutely beautiful.
And because we love keeping the fun going, stay tuned in the new year — Trivia Night will be back, and we can’t wait to share the date with you.
