Great turnout yeaterday at the Coldest Night of the Year walk in Meaford! It was definitely a chilly brisk walk! This is what community helping community looks like! Thank you Sonja for suggesting we take part.

A great big thank you to everyone who joined our Brightshores Meaford Hospital Foundation Team and to those who helped our team raise over $4,000 for such an important cause. Rotary Club of Meaford did an amazing job! Well done everyone!

On Pink Shirt Day, we wear kindness out loud.
On Coldest Night of the Year, we walk it forward.

Bullying isolates.
Poverty isolates.
Kindness builds a bridge in both directions.

Today, our pink shirts are more than a statement. They are a promise.
A promise to call out cruelty.
A promise to show up for neighbours facing the cold.
A promise that no one in Bruce Grey stands alone.

Because courage is not just speaking up in a hallway.
It is stepping up on a winter night.
It is choosing compassion when it would be easier to look away.

So we wear pink.
We hang out with our friends
We walk in the cold.
We choose community.

Right now, we are still behind our fundraising goal. But if there is one thing this town knows how to do, it is show up for each other.
