It saddens me to write this post, but I feel I must share. We have had pumpkins and corn stalks available at the end of our lane, as part of our Harvest for Hunger Foodgrains project. This is part of our fundraising to help feed the hungry and we have done it for many years. People are able of donate as they see fit, and this has worked extremely well until today. When we went out to replenish the pumpkins, the donation can had been stolen. It was well secured, actually screwed to the table, so it took some effort to remove it. This is very disheartening!!! We are not going to replace it, as we are so near to the end of the Halloween season. If you are still looking for pumpkins for carving or baking, please come and help yourself.
