It’s the Grand Finale!!

On Thurs Sept 24th beginning at 6:00 pm join the “2026 Metcalfe Live Music in the Park Series” group as they say goodbye and thank you to a wonderful summer and hello and welcome to a fresh and colorful fall season.

On Thurs. Metcalfe welcomes Ron Gallinger to close out this season of Free Live Music in Victoria Park.

Ron is a former co-lead singer with local band Diamond Heart and currently plays several private functions throughout the year. Ron's playlist will include a variety of country, pop and rock sprinkled with some East Coast tunes. Ron currently resides in Kemptville, Ontario.

Bring a sweater or a blanket, bring your lawn chair (don’t forget the mosquito repellent) and invite family and friends to join you for an evening of music, laughter and community spirit in the heart of the Village.

With so many options available in the Village for dine-in or take-out why not leave the cooking and dishes to someone else and make this concert a night out.

BH Coffee Roasting, Loughlin’s Country Store and the Metcalfe & District Lions Club are often on hand offering beverages, tasty treats and snacks.

The Metcalfe Lions will have a box at their table for anyone who wants to donate old glasses, glass lenses or hearing aids to help others with vision and hearing needs.

The call went out to Pack the Park and the call was answered.

An overflow crowd on Thurs. took in some classic country music performed by Stagecoach Road as part of the '2026 Music in the Park Summer Series'.

Under sunny skies to start and a perfect summer evening to cap things off residents and visitors to Metcalfe were once again treated to an evening of Free Live Music at Victoria Park.

Stagecoach Road is a spirited six-piece band hailing from Ottawa and surrounding areas. Seasoned musicians with a passion for Classic Country. Kristen St-Pierre returned to Metcalfe on Thurs. evening, along with special guest George Turcotte, on a perfect summer evening in Rural Ottawa to perform as part of the '2026 Metcalfe Live Music in the Park Event' As in the past when Kristen has performed she knocked it out of the park.

The duet entertained with songs familiar to most while showing their off skills with originals from their vast playlist.

From the response of those in attendance it is clear that Metcalfe looks forward to Kristen's return visit.

There are still a few weeks left of Free Live Music Entertainment coming to Metcalfe so stay tuned for the upcoming announcement on who will be performing.

Kristine St-Pierre featuring George Turcotte

Kristine St-Pierre is an award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter with soul-searching ballads and a rollicking country flair. She weaves together a rich blend of folk, roots, and country music, captivating listeners with both English and French lyrics. Described as a ‘chansonnière’ with a traveling heart,’ Kristine's songs create an emotional journey that transcends language and genre. She received a Canadian Folk Music Award nomination for her album La promesse released in 2017. In 2025 and 2026, she received the award for Francophone artist of the year by the Country Music Association of Ontario. She also counts herself lucky for having had the opportunity to perform in several countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Ukraine and most recently in Belgium and France.
