Pleasure sharing ELI with Orleans city councilor Matt Luloff. We anticipate incredible ventures ahead. Thank you Matt!
Today I had the pleasure of meeting with Ernestina from the ELI Foundation, and I left feeling truly inspired.
The ELI Foundation—short for Excellent Lives Initiatives—is doing remarkable work right here in our community. They focus on helping youth find purpose, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed in life. Their approach is built around the “4 C’s of Excellence”: Character, Capacity, Connection, and Community—a framework that supports the whole person.
Through programs like the Boyz Club, Girlz Club, and Junior Club, ELI provides mentorship, leadership training, academic support, and a strong sense of belonging to young people who need it most.
What stood out most in our conversation was how intentional and values-driven their work is. Ernestina and her team are building something incredibly meaningful—laying the foundation for a future where more young people feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Aujourd’hui, j’ai eu le plaisir de rencontrer Ernestina de la Fondation ELI, et je suis reparti profondément inspiré.
La Fondation ELI — Excellent Lives Initiatives — accomplit un travail remarquable ici même dans notre communauté. Elle aide les jeunes à découvrir leur but, à bâtir leur confiance en eux et à acquérir les compétences nécessaires pour réussir. Leur approche repose sur les « 4 C de l’excellence » : caractère, capacité, connexion et communauté — un cadre qui soutient la personne dans son ensemble.
Grâce à des programmes comme le Boyz Club, le Girlz Club et le Junior Club, la Fondation offre du mentorat, de la formation en leadership, du soutien scolaire et un fort sentiment d’appartenance aux jeunes qui en ont le plus besoin.
Ce qui m’a le plus marqué dans notre échange, c’est à quel point leur travail est intentionnel et axé sur des valeurs fortes. Ernestina et son équipe construisent quelque chose de profondément significatif — les bases d’un avenir où davantage de jeunes se sentent vus, soutenus et valorisés.
