At the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, we remember. Today, we pay tribute to those who gave everything for the freedoms we cherish. Let us wear our poppies with pride and take a moment of silence to reflect on their sacrifice.

On Indigenous Veterans Day, we honour the incredible contributions of Indigenous peoples to Canada's military efforts. They have played a pivotal role in shaping our history.

The Burns Way is named in honour of Pte. (retired) Earl Burns Sr., an Indigenous Veteran of the PPCLI and member of James Smith Cree Nation. Earl gave his life protecting his family and community during the tragedy on his Nation on September 4, 2022.

When it launches in the coming weeks, The Burns Way will provide culturally safe, anonymous chats for all Veterans, particularly Indigenous Veterans. Our Peer Advocates are here to listen, reflect, and offer support, free of judgment and stigma.
