Every bid helps support a meaningful community event focused on truth, learning, and reconciliation.

I know we have all received trusteeship emails by now.

I want to affirm with the members that local operations of the 00630 continue as usual.

We will continue to welcome our new executives into their positions.

Poor planning. Poor judgment. Poor taste.

The government is asking researchers whose positions have been eliminated – including employees who have already left the department – to identify the greatest scientific risks facing Canadian agriculture, the most urgent research gaps, and the areas where long-term expertise will be needed most.

👆These are the questions the government should have considered *before* cutting the people who can answer them. This is what happens when you try to save money at the expense of expertise.

Mauvaise planification. Mauvais jugement. Mauvais goût.

Le gouvernement demande aux chercheur·ses dont les postes ont été supprimés, y compris aux employé·es qui ont déjà quitté le ministère, de cerner les principaux risques scientifiques auxquels est confrontée l’agriculture canadienne, les lacunes les plus urgentes en matière de recherche et les domaines où l’expertise à long terme sera la plus nécessaire.

👆Ce sont là les questions que le gouvernement aurait dû se poser avant de supprimer les postes des personnes capables d’y répondre.

Voilà ce qui arrive quand on essaie de faire des économies au détriment de l’expertise.
