CEIU Local 630

Hey everyone !! This is your VP Stephanie and i want to share our past week at CEIU President’s Conference held in Toronto. Local 630 had a strong presence there with 5 of us representing! Two new stewards joined us and we are so happy to have them. We did a lot of team building and networking with other ontario locals throughout the week.

We had training from our NURs (national union representatives) and a meeting with our national engagement officer (which was amazing!!!) We were able to pass the 2026 budget, hear from the standing committees, do elections, and pass a few resolutions. We didn’t get to all of the business but I think we all came away knowing more and hungry to make change!

Big win for us today! ✅🏅

It has been announced that on August 18th the IVR for call centres will now have a statement telling callers that harassment will not be tolerated and could result in disconnection of their call! ☎️

We have been asking for this for over two years!! Hard work does pay off!! 💪😎
