Choeur g*i d'Ottawa Gay Men's Chorus is a local, independent, charitable organization the mission of which is to perform quality choral music and to contribute to the gay community. CGOGMC achieves its mission by:
providing an opportunity for gay men to affirm their identity,
providing mutual support for members,
promoting LGBTQ artists and their work,
broadening musical tastes,
developing mu

sical skills ,
building a bilingual repertoire,
co-operating with other elements of the LGBTQ community to foster diversity. Le choeur g*i d'Ottawa Gay Men's Chorus est un organisme local, indépendant à but non-lucratif dont la mission est d'offrir de la musique de chorale de qualité qui bénéficie à la communauté g*ie. CGOGMC atteint son objectif : en donnant l'occasion aux hommes g*is d'affirmer leur identité, en entretenant un appui réciproque entre les membres, en favorisant les artistes g*is et lesbiennes et leur oeuvres, en élargissant les aptitudes et connaissances musicales, en développant un répertoire bilingue et en coopérant avec d'autres éléments de la communauté LGBTQ afin de favoriser la diversité.

Earlier this week choristers and members of the CGOGMC family were happy to continue our tradition of participating in Taste for Life in support of Bruce House and the important work they do in the community.

Normally hitting up the buffet before rehearsal isn't the best idea, but it's OK when it's in support of a great cause!

Cette semaine, les choristes et les membres de la famille CGOGMC ont perpétué notre tradition en participant à l'événement Un dîner pour la vie pour soutenir Bruce House et le travail important qu’ils accomplissent au sein de la communauté.

D’habitude, faire un tour au buffet avant la répétition n’est pas vraiment une bonne idée, mais ça l’est quand c’est pour soutenir une bonne cause!

We are a little over two weeks before our Fa La La Fabulous concert. The choristers have been diligently practicing and are filled with excitement.

Come sing with the Ottawa Gay Men's Chorus for our 39th season. 🏳️‍🌈🎵 No audition required. Meet new people, learn music, and have a good time. If you are new to music, and unsure which range your voice fits - Tenor 1 or 2, Baritone, or Bass - not to worry, our musical director will be there 30 minutes before rehearsal to help you. We look forward to seeing many new, and returning faces (and voices). We are very proud and excited to announce the Bill Staubi Art Auction benefitting Bruce House & the Ottawa Gay Men's Chorus! Check out the auction at https://bit.ly/OGMCArtAuction

50% of funds raised will go directly to Bruce House, a prominent community-based organization providing housing, compassionate care and support in Ottawa for people living with HIV and AIDS. The remaining funds will support the ongoing operation of the Chorus, allowing us to fulfill our mandate and make a positive contribution to the 2SLGBTQ+ community in the National Capital Region.

The auction includes 19 fabulous works of art have been generously donated by Bill Staubi from his extensive collection. Bill has been an active and visible member of the q***r community and has been collecting art since 1978, with an emphasis on emerging artists and 2SLGBTQ+ artists.
