iSisters Technology Mentoring Inc. Canadian charity providing free, community-based programs that support women, girls and gender divers We customize our programs to meet the needs of each woman.

iSisters students learn 21st Century skills and gain confidence towards their own economic independence. We reach women through strategic community-based partnerships. All of our programs are designed and delivered collaboratively with our community partners. iSisters programs continue to offer cutting edge technology programs for women who otherwise would be unable to access or afford such services.

25 years ago, no one could have predicted how much technology would change the world -- or how important it would be that women be part of that change.

From our online safety programs to our AI Literacy programs rolled out two years ago, iSisters has always been at the front of the emerging tech line.

Today, we're thinking about the next 25 years. AI Agents. Automation. The gig economy. Remote work. The digital future is arriving fast. And iSisters will be here again -- making sure women are not just along for the ride, but in the driver's seat.

Everything we're building will mentor our learners to:
✅ learn about emerging tech trends -- taught through a lens of trauma-informed care, cultural sensitivity, and gender equity
✅ understand how to apply new skills to their career search and their daily lives
✅ identify tech career pathways and feel capable of pursuing them
✅ transfer these skills to education, employment, and community contexts

Our iAccessTech program was built for women who face not just a digital divide, but are also living with a disability. From screen readers to voice recognition software and more, this program empowers individuals to use assistive technology to enhance accessibility and independence ... for both everyday tasks and professional goals! Combine this with culturally sensitive instruction, and learners gain a peer network that becomes a lifeline.

In 25 years, iSisters has learned that inclusion isn't a checkbox. It requires design. iAccessTech is what that looks like in practice.

iSisters stands with our local transgender community and acknowledges the discrimination and obstacles they encounter in society. 🌍Now, more than ever, let's show how diversity is one of our greatest assets! ✊

For our third partner spotlight of the anniversary series, we turn to NROCRC - a much needed, well-used community service organization that helps vulnerable individuals and families lead better lives..

When NROC came on board in 2014, we had the opportunity to work collaboratively with the NROC team to customize our programming for the needs of their clients, our learners … for example, in our first year, based on feedback from NROC learners, we worked with our bank Alterna Bank to add a financial literacy module to our Career Connections programs there. NROC was also the site of our first iWisdom program launch for senior women looking to brush up their tech skills for the employment market and elsewhere.

The result? Graduates who are more tech-confident than ever. Partnerships like this one are proof that when organizations lead with purpose, everyone wins. 💜
