OPA-APO Members
The OPA-APO is inviting non-members to join our waitlist on CourtReserve . We will be using the waitlist to invite players to an assessment session on July 11 at The Forge.

Note: This waitlist and the upcoming assessment session is for non-members only. We will NOT be assessing current members at this assessment session. If an existing OPA-APO member shows up for the July assessment, they will not be assessed.

Timing matters. The waitlist is strictly sequential and will automatically log entries in the exact order they are received.

What you need to do:

Review the Profiles: Before registering, please review our player skill criteria very carefully on the OPA-APO website: Colour Player Profiles at: https://ottawapickleballassociation.com/league/opa-apo-new-player-profiles-january-2026/

A quick tip on self-evaluation: Please evaluate your skills honestly against players of that same caliber, rather than players who are less skilled. Historically, most players tend to overestimate their skill level when compared to our colour profiles!

Complete All Questions: The form includes several specific questions. Because we often draw from the waitlist based on precise venue availability, league attendance, and skill brackets, completing every field accurately is highly important.

Please note: Joining this list is for the Waitlist only. You will receive a heads up of an upcoming assessment session (which is scheduled for July 11 at The Forge). The assessment session is to build a list of assessed players by colour for WHEN we have availability for new members.

You are at level when you do all the criteria of a level consistently, every game (not just once in a while). If you are missing more than ONE Criteria skill at a level, choose the previous level.  Skills are meant to be assessed in a real game situation against  players at the specified level and...

OPA-APO Members!
OPA-APO year end party at the Forge, April 25 was a sold out success with 200 members, friends and family! Lots of play on 11 courts, great food and amazing music courtesy of Jim Hurcomb. Congratulations to Kathryn Lamb, winner of the 2026 OPA-APO Volunteer Award of Excellence. Thanks to everyone for their continued support of the OPA-APO.

Dear OPA-APO Members,
We have exciting news: OPA-APO is growing — we now have more than 700 members — and we're moving to CourtReserve for membership, league registration, and attendance for the Fall Session 2026.

Why the change?
We've been listening. Registration delays, waitlist management, and juggling multiple systems have been frustrating for members and administrators alike. CourtReserve is a purpose-built platform for court sports, trusted by clubs across North America — including right here in Ottawa at Valleystream, OTC, BYC, Elmridge, and The Forge. Many of you are already using it.
Here's what this means for you:
✅ No more registration hang-ups — the system opens automatically, right on time
✅ Membership, registration, and payments all in one place
✅ Easy self-serve withdrawals and waitlists
✅ No more cash collection at the courts

We can't wait for you to experience it. But first, we need one thing from you.

To be clear: nothing is changing yet. BenchApp, the spares system, and our current payment process will all continue through the end of the spring session. CourtReserve goes live in the fall — and we want to make sure everything is in place well before then.
We'll follow up in the coming weeks with a full Welcome Email walking you through the app, profile setup, and what's changing about how registration works — along with a Q&A to answer anything else on your mind. We think you're going to like this. Emoji

OPA-APO Yellow and Orange Members!

Yellow Footwork Clinic – Horizon-Jeunesse, Sunday 3:30 – 5:00pm May 24 and
Orange Footwork Clinic – Horizon-Jeunesse, Sunday 2:00 – 3:30pm May 24

Clinics are small group (8 players) coaching sessions led by a certified instructor. Each series is approximately 4 weeks in duration.
